The end of one great internship, the opening of a giant door.
So...my internship is done with. I was interning in the Capitol for a Senator. Primarily I was working with her legislative analysts. I cannot even fathom how awesome and interconnected everything leading up to me getting that particular position was. Wow. So, I had an amazing experience and my passions to pursue a further understanding of the processes withing government have pretty much been fueled. I am so nervous about Switzerland, not because I do not think it is amazing...it is just much bigger than I am, it reminds me when Peter realizes how good and powerful Jesus is, and how the calling he has for Peter's life is so much more awesome than he could ever imagine...Peter says,
"it's too much" knowing he cannot handle it alone. Oy, sometimes I just need to peacefully remind myself that I am not going alone, and that this life I am living may be getting larger than I could imagine, but once we extend ourselves we realize how much more we could actually do than what we thought we were capable of. I am so thankful for this internship, here are some pics...
-My snazzy parting gift, the senate floor, the Legislative office building across the street (where I worked), le capitol, me as a senator, Dena and I (She is staff to Senator Romero...and I primarily worked with her. She rocks), another le capitol view, and Dena at my desk =) Enjoy!
